Our much anticipated winter extravaganza shows took place this week. We had the junior classes from Junior Infants to Second Class performing The Lion King to a packed house on Monday evening and this was followed on Tuesday evening with our senior classes’ rendition of Roald Dahl – inspired songs, poetry, music and acting. The children looked wonderful in their costumes, masks and face paints as they entertained their watching audiences. During our intervals on each evening we had a movie presentation on behalf of our students in Coiscéim who recorded some winter themed songs. We also had an address by Sarah Duku, our PTA chairperson and then our exciting raffle was followed by the conclusion of the students’ performances. There were simply too many amazing performances to single out anyone individually for particular praise – every class, every student was worthy of the great applause and compliments from the gathered audiences. Well done to all the teachers for their hard work over the past weeks and to the parents and families who helped the children prepare so well.  A special word of thanks to all of the local businesses and individuals who contributed items to our raffle: The TLT and Sound Shop, Brunos, Shake Dog Diner, Chevaux Belle, Good Luck Barbers, Charles Byrne Piano Lessons and West End Salon Drogheda.

We’ve compiled a gallery of the images from both nights for you to enjoy.
