Dear Parents and Children,

The past few months have been very challenging for all of us and I hope this finds you well despite the pandemic. I know there’s been a lot of uncertainty for children and their parents to cope with but we now have the government’s plan for reopening schools and have begun to put the necessary measures in place for our school. You can find out more about this by following this link:  gov.ie/backtoschool .

The key thing is to get everyone back to school in a way that minimises risk to the health of our pupils, parents and staff and we’re all very familiar at this stage with the sensible measures we need to take to protect ourselves and each other. Please take a minute to read a letter to parents from Norma Foley TD, Minister for Education and Skills and I’ll update you soon with more details of our preparations for reopening and what this will mean for all of us.

Following recent recruitment, I’m pleased to share with you details of our teacher line-up for next year and a provisional school calendar for 2020-21 – this may of course be subject to change but let’s hope that in the not too distant future we can fully resume school life in line with public health advice.

I look forward to welcoming you back to school – in the meantime I hope you have a restful summer, stay safe and well.

All the best,

Principal Dermot
