For the last while, students from 3rd to 6th class have been doing a project about the Millennium Development Goals for the Irish Aid “Our World Award”.
They have been examining the challenges of and reasons for poverty in developing countries, and researching ways that we can help reduce poverty. Activities ranged from fruit games to making posters – one group even wrote a letter to the Minister for Trade and Development, Jan O’Sullivan, T.D., asking about Ireland’s commitment to helping developing countries!
