As there’s still no water supply this evening in Aston Village, Termon Abbey and surrounding areas, and according to engineers on the ground works are ongoing tonight, I’ve made the decision that the school will have to remain closed tomorrow Friday 31st March. This was to be the last day of this school term and the school will remain closed for holidays until Monday 17th April.

Again my apologies for the inconvenience this causes to families but I’d rather you know this evening so you can make arrangements for childcare etc. tomorrow.

Unfortunately, we will miss our hat parade tomorrow but don’t worry we’ll re-organise both it and our fascinating STEM fair after the break. In the meantime, please do take a photo of your millinery creations and email them to hatparade@astonvillageetns.com before 12pm so we can celebrate your wonderful creativity and I’ll organise some prizes – mostly for children but there might be a prize or two for parents’ ingenuity too! Teacher Paul will put together a slide show of your hats and will share it later tomorrow.

For anyone who still wanted to drop in any outstanding order forms for photos of their children, please drop your envelopes into the post box at the school gate tomorrow before 12pm and I’ll make sure they get to Emerald Photography tomorrow afternoon.

Many thanks,

Principal Dermot
