Our annual Lá Glas (Day of Green) to celebrate the Irish national holiday of Saint Patrick’s Day took place on Thursday and it was terrific to see so many children dressed in green. We had an assembly with songs and dances and music provided by our Aston Village trad group. A gaeilgeoir na seachtaine (student who made great efforts to speak Irish this week) was selected from each class and they all picked prizes from the prize box. To complete the celebrations, we had a Junior and Senior Céilí of Irish set dances that provided great fun for all the students.
