Dear Parents,

I’m sharing with you the new guidance on the use of face masks in primary schools which issued just this evening following this afternoon’s cabinet meeting. This information is new to all of us and it will take some time to digest but it will certainly take more than one evening to respond sensibly as a school community to this change.

Please note that this guidance applies only for children in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th classes and we will phase it in over the coming days. Please be reassured that no child will be refused entry to our school tomorrow morning for not wearing a face mask.

I’ve also been asked by the Department of Education to share with you a letter from the CMO Dr. Tony Holohan.
