There was great excitement and thankfully, perfect weather on Friday as our 4th, 5th and 6th classes headed over to the Newtown Blues grounds for our first involvement in the European Sports Day initiative. All classes took part in a range of various sports from foam javelin and sack races, to 3-legged races, novelty races and gaa-skills. Schools all across Europe were taking part in the day and it was great to have such a day in September while the weather was still on our side. Well done to all the students who participated and a big thank you to all of our friends at Newtown Blues yet again for facilitating and lending a hand.
