On Friday last, 30 children were selected due to their efforts from the hat parade to go to the beach. Teachers Naomi and Paul went with parent Nicole. We met Aidan Gray, the Louth/Meath Coast Officer from An Taisce at the beach. The trip involved the children visiting the beach to clean it up. We found lots of rubbish on the beach. We also found some interesting things: the handle of a teapot, a toothpaste packet, a starfish, a golf tee along with other bits and pieces. We also had great fun playing an activity on the beach which was a mind activity and a catch and throw activity. This really got us thinking.
