Last Friday we had our February assembly and what better theme to tie in with the month of Valentine’s Day, than ‘Love’.  This month the honours for delivering the entertainment and sharing of learning fell to our Junior Infant classes of Maria and Lisa and what a great job they did. We had children from both classes sharing with Dermot and everyone their pictures of what, where and who they loved most. Sophia loved her dog “Betty”, Jerry loves his Mam because she does everything for him, Jessica loves her teddy “Iggle Piggle”, Sophia loves her robot dog teddy and Amy loves her rabbit “Choco”, Nathan loved his dog “Charlie”, Lara loves gymnastics, Robyn loves her Mammy and Daddy, and Erik loves his cat.  We also had the “skinnamarinky dinky dink” song and a retelling of the story “Guess how much I love you” (Sam McBratney). Finally, Dermot presented certificates to children from each class who were nominated by their teachers for acts of love that they have recently shown. Well done everyone!
