Please read and adhere to the following information. These rules are in place to maximise the safety of all children attending school.
Dropping off:
There is strictly no parking allowed anywhere in the mornings except for the main school car park. There are only 3 groups of people permitted to park elsewhere on school grounds:
- The school bus
- Parents of children attending the Special Needs Unit
- Parents/Guardians with a valid disability sticker
From Monday 22nd October a new “drop and drive” system will be implemented and will work as follows:
- Parents should pull up at the set down area by the SNU entrance, let their children exit the car safely and then drive off
- At least 2 parents will be on duty every morning from 8.40am, wearing Hi-Vis jackets to ensure that every child dropped off makes their way safely to yard. These parents will be on site every morning regardless of weather – rain, hail or shine!
If you wish you to accompany your child to yard you must park in the main car park and walk across with them.
Collecting:
Parking is permitted in the set down area at collection times but you should never park in disabled spots. Please do not reverse or make 3 point turns but use the roundabout at the SNU to exit the school grounds. Children have right of way at all times.
If you are not dropping off or collecting your children from school please ensure that the person who does is familiar with these rules.
Please respect and cooperate with the parents who are volunteering to supervise the new “drop and drive” system, as their job is to ensure the safety of all children. The system may take a couple of days to get used to so we appreciate your patience and cooperation. If you are available to help with supervision in the mornings, even once a week then please contact John or Antonia.
