Whilst 3rd – 6th Classes went to Newtown Blues GFC as per previous years, our Infants, 1st and 2nd and Coiscéim classes remained at the school grounds for this year’s school sports day. The windy conditions meant that we had to reconsider some of our activities for the day, whilst the shelter provided by the school hall and grounds meant that the younger classes were able to enjoy their activities despite the weather. Orla and her team of helpers at Newtown Blues were amazing yet again offering not only full access to their great facilities but also took teams from all class levels for GAA mini matches and coaching during the day. At the end of a tiring and enjoyable day of sport, all children were treated to an ice-cream back at school. Well done everyone!
